Who we are & how to reach us
This site (“Pony Bead Maker”) is operated by [Site operator legal name]. Questions about this policy can be sent to [contact email] or via the contact page.
What stays on your device
Everything you make here is processed in your browser:
- Photos you import are decoded and converted to bead grids locally. They are never uploaded to any server, and they are discarded from memory when you close the tab.
- Your projects (grid, colors, settings) autosave into your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) on this device only. Clearing your browser data deletes them; exporting a project file is the only backup mechanism.
We cannot see, recover, or delete your projects, because we never receive them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand which features are used (e.g., “a pattern was exported”), with IP anonymization enabled. These tools set cookies and may send your device’s request data (such as IP address and user agent) to Google. You can review and control this at Google’s opt-out page and in our cookie banner.
Analytics events contain no pattern content, no photos, and no personal identifiers.
Payments
Digital products are sold through third-party payment providers (such as Waffo or PayPal). When you check out, you leave this site and the provider processes your payment and contact data under its own privacy policy. We receive only the order confirmation needed to deliver your purchase — never your card details.
Legal bases & your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis is consent (analytics, cookies), contract (delivering purchases), or legitimate interest (site security). You may request access, correction, deletion or export of the little data we hold, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing [contact email].
Where the CCPA applies, we do not sell personal information.
Children
Bead crafts are popular with kids, but this site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from them. Projects made in the browser stay in the browser, and no account exists to sign up for. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the date at the top of the page changes. Material changes (for example, new data sharing) will be highlighted on the home page before they take effect.
