1. Personal use — free
Everything you make in the free maker, and all starter patterns on this site, are licensed for personal use at no cost. That means:
- Make tapestries for yourself, for gifts, or to donate. Make as many as you like.
- Print the PDF exports for your own use.
- Show photos of your finished pieces — we’d genuinely love to see them.
It does not cover selling finished beadwork made from our patterns, or reselling/redistributing the pattern files themselves.
Important: patterns you design yourself from a blank grid (not from a starter or imported template) are entirely yours — all rights, no strings.
2. Workshop license — with the Workshop Pack
Purchasing the Workshop Pattern Pack adds a classroom license for you as the purchaser:
- Teach any number of in-person classes, camps, or parties using pack patterns.
- Print copies of the pattern pages for every participant.
- Charge for your teaching time.
It does not cover participants selling their finished pieces, or distributing the files electronically outside a class you are teaching.
3. Commercial license — per maker
The commercial license covers one person or one small studio selling finished beadwork made from this site’s patterns:
- Sell tapestries you make from any pattern on this site, online or at markets, in unlimited quantity.
- Present them using your own photos (photo of the finished work is fine; don’t reuse our site artwork as product listing images).
- One license per selling entity — a second shop or a second maker needs a second license.
The pattern files themselves are never for resale or redistribution under any tier.
Notes on color names & brands
Our palette names (“Cream”, “Coral”, …) are our own shorthand and don’t correspond to any bead manufacturer’s color system. We are not affiliated with any bead brand; where bead sizes are mentioned they are approximate industry sizes, not a specific brand’s product names.
